Shrewsbury Croquet Club offers two alternative promotional ‘packages’ to interested parties from organised social societies or workplace groups. Both are scheduled to last two hours, usually in evenings, cost a mere £2 per head, and can be arranged for a date of mutual convenience. Parties from 6 - 20 persons can be accommodated.

The Educational Package offers a closely guided taster of the laws, techniques and tactics of the real game of Association Croquet. Such a kaleidoscope of knowledge and first hand experience is packed into so short a time that it might leave your head spinning. However, there is no better way of getting a clear impression of just how complex, skilful and competitive the sport of croquet can be. Demonstration by well practised players included in package.

The Entertainment Package is intended to provide a light fun filled evening of lively competition in the easily learnt and devilish little game of ‘Pirates’. This uses full croquet equipment and some basic croquet techniques, whilst not unduly taxing the mind. It has an engaging balance of skill and good fortune; ideal for a great night out with friends. information on Association Croquet is also provided incidentally.

A FREE introduction to croquet can also be arranged for any individuals or smaller groups who express an interest in finding out more about the game with a possible view to taking it up. New members are always welcome!
