Croquet is the sport from which Billiards and Snooker derived.

• The SHREWSBURY CROQUET CLUB is situated at Monkmoor Recreation Ground, off Racecourse Crescent, Monkmoor, Shrewsbury.

It has two of only three full sized purpose built public croquet lawns in county.(rented from the local authority)

New members, enquiries and/or spectators are always welcome.

• The club is affiliated to the Croquet Association and is the definitive local source of information and expertise on this ‘queen of games’.
• Free introductory sessions can be offered to individuals.
• Special promotional sessions can be arranged for organised parties or social organisations at little cost.
• Formal coaching courses are held annually by a registered CA. coach.
• Several different competitions (and inter-club matches) are held each year, tailored for different abilities and tastes.
